SCOPE Art Show Miami Beach 2023 will be held at Ocean Drive and 8th Street on South Beach, from December 5th — 10th, 2023. Design Miami/ announces a return to Miami Beach, Florida for the 19th edition of the fair held December 6-10, 2023, with Preview Day on December 5, 2023. The fair will take place on Convention Center Drive and 19th Street, alongside Art Basel at the Miami Beach Convention Center. From Yves Klein’s infamous tone to the Ancient Egyptians’ associations, the serenity of the palette, from the sky to the sea, is explored through works including a blue resin table by Ian Alistair Cochran. New York’s R & Company offers a 2018 lamp from design world darling Katie Stout’s Girls series, showing a female form riding on the shoulders of another. Many of Stout’s pieces are intended to reinvent work traditionally seen as being for women and serve as a feminist look at empowerment.

Architect Germane Barnes was commissioned to create an activation for the Miami Design District. Rock | Roll features a number of interactive chairs, displayed throughout the neighbourhood, which draw on the costumes of Miami Carnival. "Having the opportunity to design a modern hammam at Design Miami truly embodies the sentiment that well-being transcends all culture," said Debs, who will also participate in a panel discussion during the festival. While Instagram fodder is nothing new at design fairs, there was something that felt appropriate about a digital-turned-physical art series being constantly re-digitized. On a less conceptual level, the opportunity for everyone to get one last hurrah out of their Barbiecore fashions also felt like a fitting sendoff to 2023. (Peach Fuzz, here we come!) Either way, it was hard not to feel charmed by the city’s mix of fun, flashy and refreshingly low-waste interventions. Handcrafted objects come together in a domestic setting for the South African gallery’s showcase.
